The 1st INTEGRAR was held by FEBAB in March 2002 as an innovative Forum aimed to reflect, interact and share knowledge and experiences among specialists in the area of informational resources and cultural issues management. To achieve these objectives, it was necessary to assemble representative organizations on Archives, Libraries, Documentation Centers and Museums in partnership.
Now, 2nd INTEGRAR aims to proceed on this integration among the mentioned areas, and offers special facilities for professionals to present their experiences and practices in order to promote the diffusion of technical-scientific production, to enhance interaction and professional updating. Also, it provides possibilities to analyze professional aspects of the professions dedicated to information treatment and dissemination – considering contemporary society changes under way and their tendency towards globalization and cultural diversity as well as information and communication technologies that enable information access through digital resources.

- June 25, 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
- June 26-29, 8:30A.M. - 4:00 P.M.Registration covers admission to the conference room, to all Congress sessions, to the Exhibition area; also, it covers presentation of papers and/or posters (that shall be accepted previously by the Organizing Committee) as well as access to other social and cultural activities according to 2nd INTEGRAR Program. Participants will receive name badge, official congress program, materials for notes and participation certificate.
Refunding Policy
Refunding requests can be submitted concerning registrations cancelled by participants by May 09, 2006 (10% of the paid fee will be retained as cancellation fee).
For registration fees paid from May 10, 2006 onwards, no refunds will be given.

Instructions for submission of papers and posters
Participants can submit papers for oral presentation or poster presentation that should reflect the general theme: “SHARING KWNOWLEDGE: ACCESS WITHOUT FRONTIERS”, within one of the following lines – defined for archives, libraries, documentation centers and museums:
- election and organization of information contents;
- Descriptive patterns and access tools to information;
- Technologies and innovations applied to information/Websites/Portals/Networks
- Rights and duties for information access/intellectual property;
- Policies and projects for the enhancement of institutional repertories/memory;
- Policies and projects for Conservation and Preservation;
- Electronic Government;
- Developing Information Literacy/ Virtual Literacy/ Digital Literacy;
- Access to information by disabled people;
- Professional formation: tendencies and perspectives.
Important Deadlines
April 10, 2006 – Submission of papers or posters
April 30, 2006 – FEBAB communication to participants about the papers or posters accepted by the Technical Committee for presentation at 2nd INTEGRAR
Instructions for submitting full papers / posters
- The following rules (Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas – ABNT) shall be used for the presentation of papers / posters:
- NBR 6022 – Information and documentation – Article in printed scientific periodical publication (May 2003);
- NBR 6023 – Information and documentation – references (August 2002);
- NBR 6028 – Abstract (November 2003);
- NBR 10520 – Information and Documentation: citations in document (August 2002).
Submitting full papers
- The minimum length is 10 pages and the maximum length of papers is 15 pages, including text, annexes, tables and figures;
- The paper should contain in the first page:
- Title of the paper in capital letters;
- Name(s) of author(s), their Institution, city, country and author(s) e-mail;
- Abstract containing a maximum of 250 words in Portuguese, Spanish or English, according to the language in which the paper will be submitted;
- The paper shall be presented in A4 page size, using Word for Windows version 6.0 or higher, Arial Font, 12 point font size;
- Tables and figures shall use the same version of Word for Windows, Arial Font, 11 point font size;
- Space is defined as 1.5 cm between lines and double space between paragraphs;
- Upper and left paper margins shall be 3 cm and bottom and right margins shall be 2 cm.
Oral communication of papers
- Time available: 15 minutes
- The presentation shall focus on research problem, methodology and results obtained.
Submitting posters
- Poster shall be full in its meaning and shall be submitted in 0.90m width by 1.20m height paper. It should contain:
- Title of poster;
- Full name of author(s);
- Institution and initials, city, state, country and author(s) e-mails;
- Full text, tables and figures.
- Posters approved by the Technical Committee should be taken by their authors to the 2nd INTEGRAR area defined for their exhibition (date and hour to be established by the Organizing Committee).
Sending papers and posters
Papers and posters shall be sent by e-mail to the address febab@febab.org.br , informing also about the need of necessary equipment for presentation (PC, overhead projectors, data show, slides or video projectors).
Acceptance of Papers and Posters
- 2nd INTEGRAR Technical Committee will send an acceptance note to authors of papers and posters by e-mail by April 30, 2006 along with message to confirm receipt.
- The author of accepted paper or poster shall confirm his (her) participation through registration to 2nd INTEGRAR by May 10, 2006, according to the instructions above.
- For papers to be presented orally by co-authors or others, the main author shall present in advance a letter signed by himself/herself containing the name of person who will be responsible for the oral presentation.

Information on Hotels/ Services/ Transportation2nd INTEGRAR will provide special tourism packages to participants. They include
